Director, Supply Chain Excellence & Logistics

About the role

The Director, Supply Chain Excellence & Logistics will lead Vertiv’s EMEA Procurement supply chain strategy, turning disruption into a competitive advantage through logistics optimisation, capacity planning, data integrity and digital transformation.

Key responsibilities

• Own and drive the multi‑year EMEA supply chain roadmap aligned with Vertiv’s revenue ambition, covering supplier capacity, logistics network design, risk mitigation and digital enablement.
• Lead optimisation of inbound freight, cross‑border flows and carrier selection, managing a logistics spend of ~€63 M while supporting ESG targets.
• Build and maintain a supplier capacity planning programme, segmenting critical suppliers and negotiating capacity reservations.
• Maintain a live risk register for geopolitical, lead‑time and commodity exposures, quantifying financial impact and mitigation actions.
• Establish an EMEA‑wide supply chain scorecard (on‑time delivery, lead‑time variance, order accuracy, buffer stock effectiveness, disruption frequency) and escalate deviations to senior leadership.
• Design and continuously improve stocking strategies such as consignment, VMI, safety‑stock frameworks and strategic pre‑buy for commodity‑exposed categories.
• Own the digital transformation agenda: adopt analytics, ERP planning tools, supplier portals and AI‑assisted solutions; define data architecture for a single visibility layer.
• Partner with IT and global Procurement Technology to deliver real‑time capacity and lead‑time visibility for the top 200 strategic suppliers by end‑2027.
