Design Engineer

About the role

Owns and delivers mechanical design packages for assigned systems, including 3D models, drawings, BOMs, and technical documentation. Ensures designs meet project requirements, schedules, quality standards, and company engineering guidelines.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver complete mechanical design packages (3D models, drawings, BOMs, documentation).
• Verify that designs comply with project requirements, timelines, quality standards, and internal engineering guidelines.
• Collaborate with layout planning, procurement, and suppliers to support equipment sourcing, technical evaluations, and contract execution.
• Monitor supplier manufacturing progress, conduct quality inspections, and provide assembly and operational documentation.
• Drive continuous improvement, maintain product standards and design manuals, support product development, and share engineering knowledge.

Required profile

• Mechanical Design Engineer qualification with 4+ years of experience; Technician/Bachelor degree is an advantage.
• Experience in project engineering, supplier management, and procurement of technical equipment in an international environment.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities, capable of leading technical discussions and developing engineering standards/specifications.
• Good knowledge of mechanical design, sheet‑metal and welded structures, materials, manufacturing processes, strength calculations, and FEM analysis.
• Fluent English; knowledge of machinery directives, occupational safety regulations, and plant/apparatus engineering is a plus.
