Data Engineer – Cloud Pipelines (Databricks/dbt)

About the role

EY is looking for a Data Engineer to join its consulting team in Bratislava, Košice or Žilina. The role works with clients in Slovakia and abroad to build modern data platforms and turn data into business value, with a focus on cloud technologies such as Databricks and dbt. The starting salary is from 2,000 EUR per month, with a performance-based bonus.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain data pipelines and design robust, scalable data models
• Work with cloud-based technologies, focusing on Databricks and dbt
• Develop SQL logic for transformations and validations, implement data quality frameworks and document solutions
• Translate client business needs into technical solutions
• Apply Git and CI/CD best practices
• Contribute across the full project lifecycle, from requirements and design to development and deployment

Required profile

• 2-3 years of hands-on data engineering experience, either professionally or through complex projects
• University degree in IT, Computer Science, Mathematics or a related field
• Proficiency in English

Required skills

• Advanced SQL
• Databricks (or similar data platforms) and dbt
• Basic Python for data processing and automation
• Git and version control
