Data Analyst

About the role

Cat Digital, the digital and technology arm of Caterpillar Inc., is looking for a Data Analyst to join its One Funnel team in Kosice, Slovakia. The One Funnel initiative is a strategic programme that aligns dealer actions across the enterprise to improve customer experience and dealer efficiency, using Caterpillar and dealer data. The analyst gathers and documents user and client requirements, supports development and testing of new products or services, collects client feedback and recommends improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse, test, validate and implement data-driven solutions and business initiatives
• Work with business, analytics, product and engineering teams to understand requirements and deliver projects
• Collect, validate and analyse data from multiple systems to support reporting and decisions
• Spot data quality issues, process gaps and efficiency opportunities
• Drive monitoring and documentation to keep business data accurate and reliable
• Lead testing of new functionality and business processes
• Mentor and guide junior colleagues

Required profile

• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Knowledge of business data analysis and requirement analysis
• Good communication skills, able to simplify complex data for business partners
• Understanding of statistical methods and forecasting models
• Relevant education in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Analytics or a related field

Required skills

• Extensive experience with SQL databases
• Proficiency in Python
• Top candidates: Snowflake, Azure DevOps, Git / GitHub, Confluence, AWS or other cloud platforms
• Solid knowledge of BI and reporting tools
