Customer Quality Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Customer Quality Engineer to act as the primary interface between our company and the customer’s Supplier Quality Engineer. The role ensures rapid response to customer issues, tracks quality metrics and drives continuous improvement in an automotive production environment.

Key responsibilities

• Interface with customer’s Supplier Quality Engineer and respond quickly to issues and requests.
• Track and report key quality metrics (ppm, 8D/CAR) and align internal data with the customer’s view.
• Lead internal and external teams in 8D/CAR problem‑solving to contain and permanently resolve issues.
• Support PEP phase 5‑8 projects and pilot runs of new product launches, ensuring proper controls.
• Prepare and approve quality deliverables such as PPAP, ECN, control plans and ensure customer approvals.
• Maintain and store all customer‑specific quality documentation for audit purposes.
• Drive projects to meet customer expectations, prepare for customer visits and audits, and participate in FMEA/RFMEA creation.
• Implement corrective actions, perform 0‑defect audits and manage change requests.

Required profile

• Degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• 3‑5 years of quality experience in an automotive environment.
• Internal auditor certification in Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001, IATF 16949) and preferably EMS/OSHAS.
• Fluent English; additional language is a plus.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, IATF 16949, Environmental Management System and OSHAS.
• Proficiency with core quality tools (A.I.A.G., 6‑sigma, PPAP, ECN, FMEA/RFMEA).
• Advanced MS Office skills.
