Business Information Security Officer

About the role

AT&T is looking for a forward‑thinking Business Information Security Officer (BISO) to serve as the primary security advisor for assigned business units. The role blends deep cybersecurity expertise with AI‑driven innovation to shape risk‑informed decisions, secure technology adoption, and business‑aligned security outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the Cyber Security SME and trusted advisor for designated business units, aligning security strategy with business priorities.
• Provide guidance on secure architecture, solution design, and technology adoption, embedding cybersecurity requirements into AI/ML‑enabled initiatives.
• Translate policies, standards, and regulatory mandates into actionable, automated workflows.
• Design and implement AI‑enabled capabilities—automation, analytics, and LLM‑based solutions—to improve risk management and security operations.
• Lead risk management activities, using data‑driven and AI‑assisted methods to identify, assess, and remediate vulnerabilities and threats.
• Partner with internal and external stakeholders to deploy scalable security controls and enhance cyber resilience.
• Enhance incident detection, investigation, and response through AI‑driven insights and advanced technologies.
• Develop and present cybersecurity metrics, dashboards, and executive reports to improve risk visibility.
• Promote a security‑focused, innovation‑driven culture through awareness programs and responsible AI adoption.

Required profile

• Proven experience in cybersecurity strategy, risk management, and security advisory roles.
• Strong understanding of AI/ML technologies and their secure implementation.
• Ability to translate complex security requirements into practical, automated solutions.
• Excellent communication skills for influencing business leaders and cross‑functional teams.
• Track record of driving security initiatives that align with business outcomes.
