Automation Engineer Trainee (University Students)

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Automation Engineer Trainee to join Zurich Insurance Slovakia in Bratislava. This part‑time internship offers university students hands‑on experience with modern test automation frameworks and AI‑assisted development tools.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automated tests using Playwright and Claude Code.
• Support web, API and regression testing activities.
• Use AI‑assisted tools such as GitHub Copilot for test development.
• Collaborate with developers, testers and business stakeholders, and manage test execution and defect reporting.
• Utilise Git for version control and Azure DevOps for work‑item and test management.

Required profile

• Currently enrolled in university (2nd to 4th year) studying a relevant field.
• Basic understanding of software testing concepts, web technologies and REST APIs.
• Familiarity with Git and Azure DevOps.
• Proficient in English (spoken and written) and strong willingness to learn new technologies.

What we offer

• Gross salary of 8 EUR per hour.
