Area Sales Manager – Neuro / Oncology / Hematology

About the role

The Area Sales Manager will lead a high‑performing field sales team in Bratislava, driving patient impact and commercial objectives for neuro, oncology and hematology brands.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver sales targets, market share and profitability using data, analytics and market insights.
• Lead, coach and develop Sales Representatives, fostering a performance‑driven culture.
• Execute structured field coaching, joint customer visits and document activities per International Commercialization Excellence standards.
• Drive adoption of new commercialization models, omnichannel and customer‑centric engagement strategies.
• Review field effectiveness, implement capability development plans and build strong key‑customer relationships.
• Provide territory insights, ensure compliance with Novartis policies and manage area budgets responsibly.

Required profile

• University degree in life sciences, medical, business or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of pharmaceutical or healthcare sales experience.
• Proven first‑line people‑management, coaching and talent‑development experience.
• Track record of achieving sales targets and managing competitive brands or product launches.
• Strong analytical and strategic mindset with ability to interpret KPIs and market data.
• Excellent communication, collaboration and stakeholder‑management skills.
• High integrity, ethical behavior and compliance awareness.

• Annual base salary between €32,760 and €60,840 plus bonus.
