AI Engineer

About the role

Zurich Insurance is seeking an experienced AI Engineer to join its Global Specialties team in Bratislava. The role focuses on designing, developing and rolling out AI solutions that streamline underwriting and credit processes within the Credit Lines/Underwriting domain.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end delivery of AI use cases from discovery through production rollout.
• Design and implement AI automation workflows that combine models, business rules, data pipelines and human review.
• Develop maintainable Python applications, reusable components, APIs and services.
• Build and evaluate LLM‑based solutions, including prompt workflows and retrieval‑augmented generation.
• Integrate solutions with internal systems such as Databricks, Data Lake and BI platforms.

Required profile

• Several years of hands‑on experience delivering AI, machine‑learning or analytics automation solutions.
• Strong Python development skills with emphasis on modular, object‑oriented design.
• Proven ability to translate ambiguous business problems into pragmatic technical designs.
• Excellent communication skills for collaborating with underwriters, data teams and technology partners.
