Travel & Expense Accounting Specialist

About the role

IQVIA is looking for a Travel & Expense Accounting Specialist in Bratislava. The role provides technical and general accounting services in line with IQVIA Finance SOPs, US GAAP, Sarbanes-Oxley rules and the business unit's financial reporting requirements (for example local GAAP). It is a senior assignment with strong ownership of daily tasks.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain instructions and procedures for functional roles.
• Prepare and process journal entries, maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, and provide records of assets, liabilities and other financial transactions.
• Prepare ad hoc reports for internal and inter-departmental use, and provide records and reports for managers.
• Assist in preparing reports and analysis used in the annual external audit, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting regulations and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.
• Support and lead projects, suggest improvements to existing processes and systems, and assist with monthly bank account reconciliations, receipts and disbursement reports.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent, or a bachelor's degree.
• 3 to 5 years of experience.
• Ability to exercise judgment within procedures, prioritize multiple work requirements and meet deadlines, and build effective working relationships with colleagues, managers and clients.

Required skills

• Knowledge of PeopleSoft finance modules.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
• Technical accounting skills and data analysis and manipulation skills.
• APPZEN and/or CONCUR knowledge is a strong advantage.
