Transport Management Professional - Invoice Verification

About the role

Covestro is looking for a Transport Management Professional in Bratislava to support the warehousing cost verification process. The role compares planned invoices issued by logistics partners (warehouse rent services, storage days) with SAP inventory turnover versus shipping documents, heating protocols and delivery notes. It involves communication with logistics service providers, internal logistics teams, customer service and other business units.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate transport and warehouse cost verification processes and help resolve cost issues between carriers and internal logistics teams.
• Analyze data to identify optimization opportunities and areas for improvement.
• Ensure correct and timely freight payments and manage extra costs, such as invoices that do not match system-based freight and accruals.
• Review and verify incoming freight invoices against SAP inventory levels and agreed rates, and use TM tools for automated invoice verification.
• Manage the invoice verification workflow for price mismatches and initiate and track disputes with carriers for incorrect or overcharged invoices.
• Enter warehousing or freight cost amounts into SAP S/4HANA and contribute to automation initiatives.
• Liaise with Accounting, Procurement, Logistics and carriers, coordinate with the Dispute Handler and Cost Controller, and document SOPs for invoice verification.
• Participate in TM system enhancements and testing, such as SAP S/4HANA upgrades.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or high school diploma, preferably in accounting, logistics, supply chain, business administration or equivalent.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in accounting, transportation, logistics, customer service or 3PL.
• Understanding of accounting principles and ability to improve processes.
• Good written and spoken English; German highly welcomed.
• Ability to work independently, in a team and in a fast-paced environment.

Required skills

• MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• SAP TM or FI, CO / SAP S/4HANA (freight settlement, invoice verification workflows).
• Basic knowledge of finance and accounting processes.
