Test Automation Engineer

About the role

Avenga is looking for a Test Automation Engineer with at least five years of testing experience, preferably in a banking or payment‑card environment. You will design, implement and run automated tests while collaborating with developers, analysts and product owners.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and execute automated test suites using modern frameworks.
• Participate in manual and integration testing as needed.
• Manage and maintain the test environment.
• Write test scripts, test cases and automated scripts.
• Create database queries and prepare test data.
• Analyse system logs, interpret test results and produce detailed reports.
• Document testing procedures and guides for the team.
• Collaborate closely with developers, analysts and product owners throughout the software development lifecycle.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in software testing, ideally with integration tests.
• Background in banking, with knowledge of banking products and payment‑card systems (advantage).
• Ability to understand application logic from a functional perspective.
• Team player with a responsible, proactive attitude and strong attention to detail.
• Fluent in Slovak or Czech and communicative in English.
