Test Automation Architect (f/m/d)

About the role

Join Siemens Healthineers as a Test Automation Architect to lead the design and evolution of a global testing ecosystem. You will shape test strategy, drive shift‑left automation and ensure high‑quality, scalable testing aligned with business goals.

Key responsibilities

• Define and evolve test strategy and architecture, ensuring scalable, reusable, risk‑aligned testing across all levels.
• Drive shift‑left testing and automation expansion from unit to end‑to‑end, embedding testability requirements early in requirements and design.
• Architect and govern CI/CD test infrastructure, evaluate and introduce new tools, and integrate automated testing into regular build pipelines.
• Act as a technical sparring partner and coach for engineers and architects, providing visibility into test approach, progress and results.
• Establish coverage goals, quality metrics and risk‑based approaches, continuously optimizing automation coverage and sustainability.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics or a comparable field.
• Extensive experience in international and intercultural cooperation with business‑fluent English; German is a plus.
• Strong analytical mindset, initiative, motivation and ability to work independently and in a team.
• Solution‑oriented communication skills and a focus on developing less experienced project members.

Required skills

• Test strategy and architecture design, including test levels, coverage targets and design‑for‑testability.
• Automation engineering with clean code, OOP, reusable patterns and maintainability.
• DevOps governance and “as‑code” expertise for CI/CD pipelines, test evidence, traceability and configuration discipline.
• Evaluation and selection of test tools and methods; optional experience with ServiceNow and web‑based integration/E2E automation.
