System Buyer – Purchasing Systems & SAP Specialist

About the role

As a System Buyer, you will ensure the effective management and continuous improvement of purchasing systems, tools, and databases within the organization. You will play a key role in maintaining data integrity, supporting standardized purchasing processes, and ensuring compliance with IATF requirements. Working closely with purchasing teams, suppliers, and internal stakeholders, you will support SAP S/4HANA operations, supplier data management, and knowledge‑sharing initiatives across the business.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure purchasing standards and documentation comply with IATF and internal requirements
• Develop, update, and communicate purchasing procedures across the organization
• Coordinate implementation of certification and legal requirements with central and site teams
• Support audit preparation and monitor execution of compliance‑related action plans
• Manage and maintain the MAE Purchasing Portal and purchasing documentation
• Coordinate updates and releases of purchasing documents with stakeholders
• Act as key user for purchasing tools, providing user support and issue resolution
• Deliver system‑related trainings to ensure effective tool utilization
• Ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency of supplier data across systems
• Perform regular audits of supplier databases and coordinate corrective actions
• Support SAP S/4HANA implementation, testing, and procurement process optimization
• Organize and facilitate Lessons Learned reviews within the purchasing organization
• Maintain and improve Lessons Learned databases and knowledge‑sharing processes
• Drive continuous improvement of purchasing tools and system functionalities

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of purchasing systems and SAP S/4HANA
• Experience with data management and process standardization
• Understanding of compliance requirements, including IATF standards
• Strong analytical thinking and problem‑solving skills
• Experience with stakeholder coordination and cross‑functional collaboration
• Ability to deliver trainings and support knowledge transfer initiatives
• Continuous improvement mindset with attention to detail
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in an international environment
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Purchasing, Information Systems or related field
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in purchasing systems, procurement support, or SAP‑related roles
• Fluent English required; Slovak language is an advantage
• Experience in manufacturing or automotive environment preferred
• Hybrid work model available
