Site Reliability Engineer – Oracle Database Platform

About the role

Make a difference in the financial life of millions of people as a Site Reliability Engineer focusing on Oracle Database platforms at Erste Digital. You will work across database administration, platform operations and reliability engineering to ensure secure, scalable and highly available services.

Key responsibilities

• Administer Oracle databases across development, testing and production environments, including configuration, patching, upgrades, backup, recovery and security.
• Monitor database health, performance, capacity and resource utilization, and troubleshoot issues.
• Support high‑availability and disaster‑recovery solutions using Oracle RAC and Data Guard.
• Create and maintain scripts and automation for operational and administration tasks.
• Collaborate with database, platform and application teams to improve reliability and operational efficiency.

Required profile

• 2‑4 years of hands‑on experience administering Oracle databases or supporting enterprise database platforms in production.
• Strong knowledge of Oracle backup and recovery, performance tuning, and database operations.
• Experience writing and troubleshooting SQL and PL/SQL.
• Basic Linux/Unix administration and familiarity with infrastructure, storage and networking fundamentals.
