Senior Supplier Quality Engineer – Coil & Heat Exchanger

About the role

Vertiv is seeking a Senior Supplier Quality Engineer to lead supplier quality management for the Coil and Heat Exchanger commodity group. The role supports New Product Development and Introduction (NPDI) as well as serial production, ensuring suppliers meet engineering, quality, and regulatory requirements while driving continuous performance improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Qualify, evaluate, audit, and develop suppliers within the Coil and Heat Exchanger commodity.
• Lead supplier quality assurance activities during NPDI and serial production phases.
• Coordinate and manage PPAP (Product Part Approval Process) activities with suppliers.
• Perform periodical supplier evaluations and monitor performance.
• Manage non‑conforming material processes, including containment, corrective actions, and return‑back procedures.
• Coordinate supplier corrective actions and root‑cause analysis.
• Support Engineering, Manufacturing, Procurement, and Project teams on supplier quality matters.
• Ensure supplier compliance with drawings, specifications, standards, and customer requirements.
• Participate in supplier audits, workshops, inspections, and technical review meetings.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• Experience in procurement, sourcing, or commodity management within industrial equipment or manufacturing.
• Understanding of heat exchangers, coils, thermal systems, and fabrication processes.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
• Experience working with international suppliers and project environments.
• Fluent English communication.
