Senior Storage and Software Presales Architect

About the role

Hewlett Packard Enterprise is hiring a Senior Storage and Software Presales Architect in Bratislava. The role is hybrid, with an average of 2 days per week spent in an HPE office. It focuses on technical selling to customers and partners, architecting solutions that meet customer business and technical needs and supporting sales teams with proposals, presentations and demonstrations.

Key responsibilities

• Architect solutions and write proposals that meet customer business and technical requirements, combining HPE products, software, services and third-party components.
• Lead solution design, POCs and demos, and present workload-optimized, outcome-based solutions to customers and partners.
• Manage customer and company stakeholder expectations, identify technical trade-offs and risks, and suggest remediation.
• Build the account pipeline, nurture active deals, and contribute to sales forecasts.
• Advise executives and CxOs, and transfer knowledge to partners.
• Take part in industry events, conferences and social media, and monitor the competitive landscape.

Required profile

• Advanced degree in technology or a related field preferred, or equivalent technical qualifications.
• 12+ years of technical experience in IT, focused on technical consulting and solution selling.
• 2+ industry-standard technology certifications or equivalent experience.
• English and the applicable local languages, as needed for the job.

Required skills

• Deep knowledge of storage and software solutions, including the as-a-service (aaS) business model.
• Ability to design and deliver live demonstrations and proofs of concept.
• Consultative and value selling, with strong presentation, storytelling and negotiation skills.
• Account planning, CRM tools and financial acumen (TCO/ROI).

What we offer

• Salary range in Slovakia of EUR 69,800 to 129,800 per year, with an 80/20 split between base salary and target sales compensation.
