Senior Payment Consultant – Technology Consulting (German Projects)

About the role

PwC's advisory team in Bratislava, working closely with PwC Germany, supports transformation projects in the financial services sector. As a Senior Payment Consultant you will work on international consulting projects focused on payments and digital financial solutions for clients mainly in Germany, combining business analysis, basic technology understanding and strong communication skills. You will work with business and IT stakeholders on transformation initiatives for banks, insurance companies and investment firms.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze how regulation and new technology will transform banking operations and help clients structure and design final solutions
• Design solutions for Open Finance and API integration, enabling third parties secure access to financial data
• Contribute to the design and delivery of technology-enabled solutions in the financial services sector

Required profile

• University degree in Economics, Business Administration, Finance or a comparable field; interdisciplinary backgrounds are welcome
• At least 3 years of relevant experience, ideally in financial services, consulting, banking, payments, fintech or a related field
• Good understanding of digital financial services and technology-enabled transformation, including payments, digital banking, APIs, system integrations, automation and data-driven processes
• Ability to structure, analyze and communicate complex financial and technical topics
• Experience using German at B2-C1 level and English at C1 level

Required skills

• Confident use of collaboration and productivity tools such as MS Teams, PowerPoint, Word and Excel
• Desired: knowledge of payments, open finance, embedded finance, transaction banking, digital banking, fintech platforms, regulatory compliance or project work for banks and fintechs
• Proactive use of AI-powered tools such as ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot and Power BI
