Senior Payment Consultant – Technology Consulting (German Projects)

About the role

As a Senior Payment Consultant you will join PwC’s Slovak near‑shore team supporting German financial institutions. You will work on transformation projects that design and implement digital payment solutions, open‑finance APIs and pan‑European banking platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in international consulting projects focused on payments, digital finance and system integrations for banks, insurers and investment firms.
• Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to analyse regulatory impacts, design solution architectures and drive implementation.
• Prepare pan‑European payment solutions and advise clients on the impact of new technologies and regulations.
• Design open‑finance and API integration concepts that enable secure third‑party access to financial data.

Required profile

• University degree in Economics, Business Administration, Finance or a related interdisciplinary field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in financial services, consulting, banking, payments or fintech.
• Strong interest in digital financial services, payments, APIs, automation and data‑driven processes.
• Excellent communication skills in German (B2‑C1) and English (C1) and ability to convey complex technical topics.
• Proactive, reliable and structured working style with a willingness to take ownership.
