Senior DevOps Engineer – Bratislava or Košice

About the role

As a Senior DevOps Engineer you will join a dedicated DevOps team to design, maintain and enhance cloud‑native infrastructure that powers data‑science workloads. The position is based in Slovakia, either in Bratislava or Košice, and involves close collaboration with development teams delivering time‑series forecasting and generative AI applications.

Key responsibilities

• Support design and operation of core GCP infrastructure for data‑science and Python‑based ML/AI workloads.
• Maintain and improve Kubernetes environments using Helm and ArgoCD.
• Develop, review and maintain Terraform modules and cloud configurations.
• Manage GitLab CI/CD pipelines for applications, infrastructure and ML projects.
• Implement and optimise autoscaling strategies for workloads and clusters.
• Ensure robust observability with Grafana, Prometheus, Loki and Tempo.
• Troubleshoot issues across cloud, container, networking and application layers.
• Educate developers and data scientists on best practices and relevant stack components.

Required profile

• Fluent English; German is a plus.
• Minimum 4 years of professional DevOps experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or a related field.
• Strong expertise with at least one major cloud provider (GCP preferred, AWS/Azure acceptable).
• Solid hands‑on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Helm and production‑grade container systems.
• Proficiency in Unix/Linux administration, shell scripting and basic networking.
• Understanding of basic security concepts and vulnerability mitigation.
