Senior Cloud Ops Engineer – AWS & Azure

About the role

Join PwC’s Advanced Technology Solutions team as a Senior Cloud Ops Engineer, shaping secure, scalable cloud environments for global clients and internal teams. The role focuses on reviewing existing cloud setups and preparing them for managed offerings across Azure, AWS and GCP.

Key responsibilities

• Review and assess existing cloud environments across Azure, AWS, and GCP.
• Work directly with tenant owners and project teams to understand environment structure and usage.
• Evaluate deployed services, infrastructure patterns, subscriptions, accounts, projects, and security controls.
• Identify non‑standard or non‑compliant configurations and propose aligned alternatives.
• Assess readiness for migration, redeployment, or transition into managed cloud offerings.
• Define redeployment strategies while preserving required functionality and business needs.
• Analyze environments managed through Terraform, CDK, and other infrastructure‑as‑code methods.
• Use scripting or development skills such as Python or TypeScript where relevant.
• Communicate technical findings clearly to both engineering teams and business stakeholders.

Required profile

• Strong hands‑on experience with Azure and AWS.
• Functional working knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Strong understanding of cloud governance, security principles, and cloud environment assessment.
• Experience reviewing cloud environments at tenant, subscription, account, or project level.
• Ability to assess how infrastructure is built, managed, and deployed, including non‑standard setups.
• Experience with infrastructure‑as‑code and cloud automation tools such as Terraform or CDK.
• Scripting or development capability in Python, TypeScript, or similar languages.
• Ability to work directly with stakeholders and explain technical topics clearly.
• Good written and spoken English.
