About the role
The Senior Buyer will lead end‑to‑end procurement activities for assigned categories, shaping local strategies that complement global plans and driving cost, quality and ESG outcomes.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and execute robust local category strategies aligned with global objectives.
- Conduct market and supplier analytics to support sourcing decisions.
- Lead complex negotiations, secure legal and financial approvals, and manage purchase orders.
- Oversee contract governance, dispute resolution and change management.
- Manage supplier relationships, onboarding and performance monitoring.
- Identify make‑vs‑buy opportunities and support risk‑management initiatives.
- Collaborate with regional buying teams, finance, legal and risk functions to ensure alignment.
Required profile
- Proven experience in strategic procurement or category management, preferably in an automotive or industrial environment.
- Strong analytical mindset with ability to translate market data into actionable sourcing plans.
- Excellent negotiation skills and ability to influence cross‑functional stakeholders.
- Familiarity with contract management processes and total cost of ownership principles.
