Scrum Master & Business Analyst (80‑100%)

About the role

We are looking for a Scrum Master / Business Analyst to join Zurich’s IT team in Bratislava. In this combined role you will facilitate Agile delivery while translating business needs into clear, implementable requirements for our global catastrophe‑modeling platform.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate Scrum ceremonies – daily stand‑ups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, reviews and retrospectives.
• Maintain and prioritise the product backlog based on business input and technical guidance.
• Identify, track and remove delivery impediments, escalating risks and communicating progress.
• Coordinate delivery activities with external vendors, development teams and change‑management, including defect resolution, testing and releases.
• Plan and coordinate user acceptance testing, capture feedback and support formal sign‑off.
• Liaise with catastrophe analysts to clarify requirements, priorities and expected outcomes.
• Support incident escalations, conduct root‑cause investigations and guide related projects.
• Maintain project documentation, decision records, process descriptions and application‑related artefacts.
• Plan quarterly weekend production deployments to ensure smooth execution.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Scrum Master, Business Analyst or a comparable Agile delivery role.
• Strong business analysis capabilities – requirements elicitation, process analysis, backlog refinement, user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Experience working with product owners, business stakeholders, technical teams and external vendors.
• Good understanding of Agile delivery practices and project methodologies.
• Background in the insurance industry with knowledge of exposure, accumulation and re‑insurance terminology.
• Excellent communication, facilitation and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
