Python Team Lead

About the role

We are looking for a hands‑on Python Team Leader to lead a team of 5‑6 developers within our Odin Development / Digital Foundation department. The role blends people leadership, agile delivery management and active software development, working closely with engineers, project managers, PHP leads and Ops teams.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and support a team of 5‑6 developers, conduct regular 1:1s and foster an inclusive, psychologically safe environment.
• Facilitate agile ceremonies (stand‑ups, sprint planning), manage the Jira backlog, prioritize work and remove delivery blockers.
• Define and track quarterly OKRs aligned with company goals, report progress and drive accountability.
• Contribute to Python code, perform code reviews and guide technical decisions and best practices.
• Participate in hiring, technical interviews and onboarding of new team members.
• Coordinate dependencies with cross‑functional stakeholders and represent the team in planning discussions.

Required profile

• 3+ years of hands‑on Python development experience.
• Proven experience leading, mentoring or managing software engineers.
• Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and practical experience with Jira.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Experience defining and delivering against OKRs or similar goal frameworks.
• Ability to balance people leadership with active technical contribution.
