Product Design Leader

About the role

OPmobility is looking for a Product Design Leader to join its Exterior & Lighting Business Group in Lozorno, Slovakia. You will drive the design and development of automotive exterior and lighting components from concept through to production, ensuring they meet customer requirements and manufacturing feasibility.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of automotive products from concept to production.
• Translate customer requirements into manufacturable design solutions and assess feasibility.
• Coordinate design activities with internal teams, external suppliers, CAD teams and project stakeholders.
• Drive design reviews, monitor action plans and ensure on‑time delivery of engineering milestones.
• Collaborate with Project Engineering Managers to identify optimal technical solutions.
• Define and maintain product geometry, reference systems and key design parameters.
• Support tooling development by defining critical tuning and adjustment areas.
• Review and technically validate drawings, assemblies and engineering documentation.

Required profile

• University degree in Mechanical, Automotive or Engineering field.
• Minimum 3 years experience designing injection‑molded plastic parts.
• Proven ability to lead product design activities and CAD engineers.
• Strong knowledge of design‑for‑manufacturing principles.
• Experience in automotive product development environments.
• High technical proactivity, problem‑solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Willingness to travel as required and a valid driving licence (category B).
• Fluent English (minimum B2 level).
