Policy and Standards Governance Specialist (Temporary)

About the role

Swiss Re is looking for a Policy and Standards Governance Specialist in Bratislava to drive its Policy Governance Framework, ensuring consistency, compliance and usability across the organization. The role combines governance expertise with stakeholder influence and works with stakeholders across all levels of the business. It is a 12-month fixed-term position.

Key responsibilities

• Own and evolve the end-to-end Policy Governance Framework, developing governance models, taxonomies, templates and quality assurance standards
• Define and implement improvements to streamline processes, improve user experience and ensure effective lifecycle management
• Ensure new or updated policies and standards meet framework requirements and monitor adherence to lifecycle stages
• Advise policy and standard owners on framework application and best practices for drafting and implementation
• Build and lead a community of Standard Owners to promote collaboration and knowledge sharing
• Contribute to compliance policies, standards, processes and tools
• Monitor regulatory developments to identify new requirements and improvements to risk frameworks
• Prepare and deliver training, guidance and awareness materials to build compliance capability

Required profile

• University or equivalent qualification with at least 8 years of experience in governance, compliance, risk management, program management or other risk and control framework roles
• Sound experience with policies, standards and governance frameworks, especially drafting them
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills across all seniority levels
• Organizational, process, project management and analytical skills
• Fluency in English, written and spoken

Nice to have

• Experience in an international financial services environment
• Knowledge of compliance risks such as fraud, conduct risk and bribery and corruption
• Additional languages beyond English
• Experience with digital policy management systems or tools

What we offer

• Monthly base salary in Slovakia of 2,900 to 4,900 EUR for a full-time role, depending on profile and experience
• Possible performance-based bonus
• Hybrid work model, with at least 50% office presence expected
