Junior Software Engineer – Pega Career Path

About the role

Accenture Slovakia is looking for a motivated Junior Software Engineer to start a career in low‑code and digital process automation using the Pega platform. You will join long‑term projects for top banking and financial services clients, gaining hands‑on experience in real enterprise environments from day one.

Key responsibilities

• Learn directly from experienced Pega developers and architects while actively contributing to software projects from requirements analysis to technical design.
• Build enterprise applications using the Pega low‑code platform across development, deployment, operation and monitoring phases.
• Write clean, maintainable code when required, supporting integrations, extensions and testing.
• Contribute to the maintenance and improvement of existing solutions by analysing and resolving issues.
• Work in an agile team environment, sharing ideas, experimenting and delivering value iteratively.

Required profile

• Basic knowledge of at least one object‑oriented language (e.g., Java, C#.NET, C++, JavaScript, Python).
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT or a related field.
• Understanding of SQL and database concepts.
• Familiarity with software testing principles.
• Analytical and creative problem‑solving skills with curiosity to learn new tools.
• Team spirit and willingness to contribute ideas.
• English proficiency at Upper‑intermediate (B2) or advanced (C1) level and Slovak at C2 level.
