Junior Accountant – Accounts Payable

About the role

As a Junior Accountant in Accounts Payable, you will support the day‑to‑day processing of invoices and payments, ensuring timely, accurate and compliant service delivery. You will work closely with internal teams and external vendors to maintain smooth financial operations.

Key responsibilities

• Process invoices from receipt to payment release.
• Handle internal and external communications related to AP queries.
• Maintain and close vendor accounts as required.
• Support ad‑hoc requests from finance and other departments.
• Ensure compliance with Covestro’s policies, procedures and service level agreements.
• Monitor performance metrics and contribute to continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent experience, preferably with accounting or business exposure.
• Basic understanding of end‑to‑end finance and accounting processes.
• Self‑disciplined, able to work independently under pressure.
• Adaptability to new cultures and environments.
• Strong service orientation and customer focus.
• Good communication skills and business‑level English proficiency.
