Junior Accountant – Accounts Payable (German)

About the role

The Junior Accountant for Accounts Payable ensures timely, accurate and compliant service delivery for all Accounts Payable transactions assigned to his role.

Key responsibilities

• Supports the day‑to‑day Accounts Payable operations for the following process areas
• Processes invoices until the release of payment
• Handles internal and external communication
• Supports vendor account maintenance and closing activities
• Assists with ad‑hoc requests
• Ensures compliance with Covestro policies and procedures
• Monitors service level agreements and key performance indicators
• Contributes to initiatives improving efficiency and effectiveness of transaction processing

Required profile

• High school degree or equivalent experience, preferably in accounting or business
• Basic knowledge of finance and accounting end‑to‑end processes
• Self‑disciplined, able to work independently under stress
• Ability to adapt to new culture and people
• Strong service orientation and customer focus
• Business‑proficient English and German
