Junior Account Analyst IFM (Temporary)

About the role

Swiss Re's International Financial Management (IFM) team in Bratislava is looking for a Junior Account Analyst for a temporary role. The team accounts for transactions related to policies in the International Program, ensuring efficient and compliant risk transfers and cash flows between local offices and reinsurance partners, while managing reporting, analytics and commentaries.

Key responsibilities

• Book, reconcile and settle technical accounts with a focus on data accuracy and efficiency
• Produce and deliver monthly statements to partners
• Handle outgoing payments and statements for assigned International Programs
• Resolve reconciliation discrepancies with internal and external teams
• Ensure proper reconciliation of technical accounts in the administration system and assist Finance with financial ledger reconciliations

Required profile

• University degree, ideally in finance, accounting or economics
• Prior experience in a finance or accounting role
• Strong communication skills, able to explain complex technical issues simply to a non-expert audience, written and verbal
• Analytical skills, able to meet tight deadlines
• Proactive approach to continuous process improvement

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Previous experience in insurance technical accounting is an advantage

What we offer

• Base salary in Slovakia of EUR 1,400 to EUR 2,400 per month for a full-time role, depending on profile and role complexity
