IT Business Analyst – Data‑Centric Solutions

About the role

Zurich Insurance is looking for an IT Business Analyst to support the delivery of data‑centric solutions. You will design and manage cloud‑based data pipelines on platforms such as Databricks and Azure, ensuring they are scalable, performant and traceable.

Key responsibilities

• Design, document and oversee data ingestion and transformation pipelines on cloud platforms.
• Translate business goals into clear requirements, user stories and technical solutions.
• Collaborate with risk experts and technical teams on workflows for exposure data and catastrophe model results.
• Facilitate agile ceremonies and ensure alignment between business and technical stakeholders.
• Support development, testing and release planning with a focus on performance, security and business value.
• Advise on data architecture, working closely with Data Architects and Information Security.

Required profile

• Strong experience with T‑SQL for complex querying and performance tuning.
• Hands‑on experience with data science tools such as R and Python.
• Background in data modeling, transformation, visualization and governance.
• Proficiency with data pipeline/ETL tools like Azure Data Factory, Databricks and Jenkins.
• Experience supporting legacy platforms and leading requirements workshops in a matrixed organization.
