Indirect Buyer – CAPEX Procurement

About the role

Magna Electronics is seeking an Indirect Buyer (CAPEX) to support procurement of machinery, equipment and other indirect categories. You will work closely with engineering and project teams to ensure the right specifications and timely delivery of assets that enable our automotive technology projects.

Key responsibilities

• Perform CAPEX procurement activities for machinery, equipment and indirect categories.
• Collaborate with engineering and project teams on equipment specifications and purchasing requirements.
• Participate in the Sourcing Council and regular divisional/group CAPEX meetings.
• Manage sourcing processes, supplier selection and commercial evaluations.
• Negotiate prices, contracts and commercial terms with suppliers.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers.
• Monitor supplier performance and support continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with purchasing policies and procedures.
• Coordinate contract documentation and maintain purchasing records.
• Support cost‑optimization and strategic purchasing initiatives.

Required profile

• Completed study in Economics, Business Administration, Purchasing, Logistics, Engineering, Law or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in purchasing, procurement or sourcing.
• Experience in a manufacturing or automotive environment is a plus.
• Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
• Analytical mindset with good organisational skills.
• Fluent English (minimum C1 level).
• Knowledge of CAPEX procurement, supplier performance management and international manufacturing environments is advantageous.

Required skills

• Advanced SAP knowledge.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
