Global Plant Readiness Expert

About the role

LEONI seeks a Global Plant Readiness Expert to drive strategic manufacturing transformation across its worldwide network. You will prepare plants for production transfers, industrialization and operational initiatives, ensuring successful execution and sustainable excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct maturity assessments of industrialization or de‑industrialization projects at plant level.
• Prepare plants to take over product volumes or projects from sister plants in line with strategic footprint plans.
• Ensure production transfer plans are executable, aligned with timelines, milestones and budget constraints.
• Develop and implement innovative solutions to improve bottom‑line results by enhancing Plant Readiness structures and service capabilities.
• Partner with plant leadership to assess readiness, identify risks and implement sustainable improvement initiatives.
• Design and coordinate global initiatives such as line balancing, shop‑floor management and Run@Rate studies.
• Lead operational management in urgent or critical situations (task‑force mode) and resolve customer complaints using data‑driven analysis.
• Report regularly on implementation status, milestones and risks, and propose measures for team performance and organizational optimization.

Required profile

• University degree with 5+ years of experience in the automotive industry, preferably in manufacturing transformation, industrialization, production transfers or operational excellence.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, shop‑floor management and continuous improvement principles.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills with a proactive, hands‑on mindset.
• Experience in Tier‑1 automotive environment, including production restructuring, green‑ or brown‑field management.
• Willingness to travel internationally.
