Generative AI Software Engineer

About the role

Cat Digital is launching a new branch in Slovakia and is looking for a GenAI Engineer to design, develop, and maintain generative AI solutions. You will work in an agile environment alongside engineers, data scientists, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable AI‑powered applications.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Generative AI solutions using Python and object‑oriented principles.
• Build, test, and deploy AI applications and services in cloud environments, primarily AWS.
• Implement and monitor CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions or similar tools.
• Deploy infrastructure as code using AWS CloudFormation.
• Work with modern GenAI frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, Semantic Kernel, and CrewAI.
• Apply LLM concepts and prompt‑engineering techniques to solve business challenges.
• Design and maintain APIs using FastAPI.
• Collaborate with developers and data teams to improve analytics, reliability, and scalability of AI solutions.
• Contribute to AI workflows and data pipelines with Apache Airflow.
• Participate in code reviews, testing activities, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Solid understanding of software development practices, SDLC, and agile methodologies.
• Experience with object‑oriented programming and Python development.
• Familiarity with REST APIs and backend frameworks, especially FastAPI.
• Interest in Generative AI, large language models, and prompt engineering.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and effective communication in a cross‑functional team.
