Future Key Account Manager Trainee Programme (Bratislava)

About the role

P&G, a global consumer goods manufacturer, runs a 6-month Future Key Account Manager programme in Bratislava, with a full-time schedule of flexible hours. The programme lasts six months and leads to a position as Key Account Manager Trainee, with potential to move into a managerial role after successful completion. It covers two areas of sales work: managing your own accounts and co-leading business with a retailer.

Key responsibilities

• Influence in-store promotions, executions, visibility and stock levels, gaining retail experience
• Co-lead business with a retailer (e.g. Tesco or DM) as a Key Account Manager Trainee, planning and developing business for a category or customer
• Work with key market retailers to understand customer and shopper needs and contribute to recommendations on assortment, merchandising and promotions
• Collaborate with the customer team on business plans and external negotiations
• Build relationships with customers on space and location, promotion support, assortment, shelving and merchandising
• Develop negotiating, sales, financial, marketing, analytical and logistical skills
• Work with colleagues from Finance, Marketing, Manufacturing sites, Suppliers and Product Supply

Required profile

• Business and technical students in their 3rd, 4th or 5th year, or recent graduates
• Availability to work at least 32 hours per week for 6 months
• Strong initiative, problem-solving and advanced language skills in Slovak and/or Czech and English
• Positive attitude to challenges and change, and good interpersonal and multinational cooperation skills
• Excellent analytical thinking and leadership skills
• Active driver's licence
