Freelance Lead Auditor – ISO 19443 (On‑Call) – Slovakia

About the role

We are seeking a Lead Auditor Freelance ISO 19443 for on‑call audit activities at sites and facilities in Slovakia. The role involves conducting ISO 19443 compliance audits (Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems for the Oil and Gas Industry) at client facilities in the Oil & Gas, energy, and related sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Plan audits by defining scope, criteria, methodology and schedule in coordination with the client.
• Execute on‑site verification at Oil & Gas facilities, assessing ISO 19443 compliance and local HSE regulations.
• Collect and document evidence, non‑conformities, observations, strengths and improvement opportunities.
• Prepare detailed, objective audit reports with clear findings and recommendations.
• Follow‑up on corrective actions and support client improvement processes.
• Communicate with client management, technical teams, regulatory authorities and other stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Management) or related discipline.
• Valid Lead Auditor ISO 19443 certification recognized internationally (IRCA, UKAS or equivalent).
• 3‑5 years experience auditing occupational health and safety management systems.
• At least 3 years experience in Oil & Gas, energy or high‑criticality industries.
• Experience auditing facilities in Slovakia or Central‑Eastern Europe preferred.
• Proven ability to prepare audit reports and manage follow‑up actions.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of ISO 19443, ISO 45001 and ISO 9001.
• Understanding of Oil & Gas processes (upstream, midstream, downstream).
• Familiarity with Slovak local regulations and European regulatory requirements.
• Competence in audit methodologies and risk assessment techniques.
