Data Analytics Engineer

About the role

As a Data Analytics Engineer in Swiss Re’s Specialty Analytics team, you will design and deliver data‑driven solutions for the Property & Casualty (P&C) domain. The position blends software engineering, data engineering and analytics delivery, focusing on clean implementation, robust pipelines and maintainable applications.

Key responsibilities

• Design and build end‑to‑end analytics solutions in Palantir Foundry.
• Develop scalable PySpark data pipelines.
• Create user‑facing web applications using Workshop and TypeScript.
• Translate business requirements into technical designs, data models and user stories.
• Improve architecture, performance, data quality, testing, automation and developer experience.
• Ensure implementation quality through clean code, code reviews, documentation and production support.
• Collaborate with product owners, architects, analysts and fellow developers in a global, cross‑functional environment.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience in data engineering or analytics.
• Proficiency in Python and PySpark for scalable data transformation.
• Solid understanding of SQL, data warehousing, ELT and cloud data architecture.
• Practical software‑engineering skills, including the use of AI tools.
• Strong problem‑solving and communication abilities.
