Data & AI Governance Consultant – Technology Consulting (German Projects)

About the role

Join PwC's Slovak technology consulting team supporting German financial services clients. You will help shape and embed Data & AI operating models and governance frameworks for banks, insurers and investment firms.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and enforce data governance frameworks, policies and standards.
• Support implementation of data stewardship and ownership models across domains.
• Collaborate with data owners, stewards and platform teams to ensure consistent governance practices.
• Drive adoption of data governance tools such as Collibra, Alation or Informatica.
• Monitor compliance, support audits and regulatory reporting.
• Promote data literacy through trainings, documentation and community engagement.
• Contribute to AI governance and EU AI Act readiness projects.

Required profile

• University degree in Economics, Business Administration, Finance, Business Informatics, Data Management, Information Systems or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in financial services, consulting or related environment.
• Experience designing or implementing Data & AI operating models and governance frameworks.
• Proven ability to work with cross‑functional stakeholders and drive tool adoption.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management and presentation skills.
• Professional proficiency in German (B2‑C1) and English (C1).
