Customs Coordinator

About the role

Adient, a global leader in automotive seating with operations in 29 countries, is hiring a Customs Coordinator in Bratislava. The role covers daily customs reporting, data collection and analysis, and customs compliance work after training, with coordination across functions such as Finance, Risk Management, Legal, Tax, Procurement, Supply Planning and Logistics.

Key responsibilities

• Provide daily support for creating reports involving large amounts of data and collect data
• Prepare analyses based on information from various sources
• Communicate with Adient plants (in English) to obtain data or verify its correctness
• Create presentations and other project documentation
• Research customs questions related to legislation or best practice in EMEA countries
• Handle customs compliance tasks such as filing customs declarations and other documents (after training)
• Support improvement projects and initiatives
• Perform data analytics to identify issues, risks and opportunities
• Oversee the implementation and operation of information technology solutions
• Coordinate with functional partners to resolve or improve related activities
• Audit and monitor the activities of Adient personnel and those of agents and service providers

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university (required)
• Good analytical skills, result-driven attitude and job ownership
• Very good written and spoken English; another language is a plus
• Ability to work independently and adapt to change

Required skills

• Advanced Excel skills
• Power BI and SAP experience is an advantage
