Customer Service Engineer

About the role

As a Service Engineer you will coordinate the technical specification, integration and acceptance of voice communication solutions for air traffic control. You will be the main point of contact for technical matters for long‑standing installed‑base customers.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the 2nd and 3rd level support contact, analyse and fix system errors.
• Understand customer needs and contribute to ongoing product improvement.
• Participate in international projects together with branches and partner companies.
• Coordinate error analysis, devise remedies and review technical solutions against security requirements.
• Perform system tests on the company test environment and on customer premises.
• Plan and implement system updates and enhancements for complex IT systems.
• Integrate system components into existing customer environments.
• Conduct customer training on site and at headquarters.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years experience as a System Engineer, Service Engineer or System Administrator.
• Strong Linux knowledge (preferably Red Hat) and hands‑on experience.
• Practical experience with virtualization platforms such as VMware or Linux KVM.
• Good understanding of networking principles and protocols (Layer 2/3, TCP/IP, UDP, Multicast, SIP, HTTP).
• Experience troubleshooting complex IT infrastructure and network‑related issues.
• Advanced English (C1) and ability to work calmly in critical situations.
