About the role
Adient is seeking a Buyer to support program purchasing activities for a specific Customer Business Unit. The role ensures smooth product launches and financial control across program phases.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate program purchasing activities and ensure compliance with company objectives.
- Control and approve purchasing decisions in line with customer demands and commodity strategies.
- Guarantee cost‑, quality‑ and time‑oriented supply of goods, materials, equipment and services.
- Manage supplier interactions including RFQs, contract negotiations and dispute resolution.
- Support make‑or‑buy decisions, value analysis/engineering and cost‑optimization projects.
Required profile
- Commercial or technical degree.
- Minimum 2 years of automotive purchasing experience.
- Fluent English.
Required skills
- SAP knowledge.
- Proficiency with MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Controlling and cost analysis expertise.
