Business Intelligence Analyst - Tableau

About the role

Cat Digital, the digital and technology arm of Caterpillar Inc., is looking for a Business Intelligence Analyst within Integrated Product Management in Kosice, Slovakia. The role turns data into actionable insights for business decision-making, focusing on Tableau dashboard development and reporting support, including maintaining and improving existing reports and building new dashboards.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and support existing Tableau dashboards so they stay accurate and useful for business users.
• Enhance and expand current dashboards and reporting solutions according to evolving business needs.
• Develop new Tableau dashboards and visualizations from defined business requirements.
• Analyze data to find trends, opportunities and areas for improvement and share the findings clearly.
• Work with stakeholders to collect, understand and document reporting and visualization requirements.
• Validate data and reporting outputs for accuracy and consistency.
• Create and maintain documentation of dashboards, reporting processes and standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reporting solutions.

Required profile

• Foundational experience with Tableau or similar BI tools and an interest in dashboards and reporting.
• Ability to analyze and interpret data to answer business questions.
• Clear communication with business and technical stakeholders and attention to data quality.
• Curiosity, problem-solving and ability to document requirements and standards.
• A bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics or a related field is preferred.

Required skills

• Hands-on Tableau experience, including dashboard development, through professional experience, internships or academic projects.
• SQL for querying and analyzing data.
• Familiarity with modern data platforms or tools such as Snowflake, GitHub or cloud-based analytics solutions is a plus.
• Exposure to Python or other analytics and automation languages is a plus.
