Business Continuity Manager

About the role

Clarios, a global leader in advanced energy storage solutions, is looking for a Business Continuity Manager in Bratislava. You will lead the development and integration of the global business continuity and resilience capability, helping ensure that critical manufacturing and business operations can be sustained or restored quickly after a disruption. You will work closely with IT, Operations, Risk, Security, Supply Chain and other functions to set up practical continuity plans, clear governance and measurable readiness, and act as a trusted advisor across regions and sites during crises.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop the global Business Continuity Management capability, including governance, policies, standards, roles, accountability, maturity assessments and improvement roadmaps.
• Drive Business Impact Analyses and resilience assessments, including RTO and RPO, to identify critical processes and recovery priorities.
• Oversee Business Continuity Plans, Crisis Management Plans, recovery procedures and playbooks, keeping them practical and current.
• Coordinate the annual BCM lifecycle across regions and sites, with coordinators and functional leaders on reviews, assessments, training, exercises and reporting.
• Lead enterprise-level exercises and simulations, tracking lessons learned and improvements.
• Provide guidance during disruptions and crises, supporting escalation, communication and recovery.
• Develop BCM KPIs, dashboards and executive reporting, and manage related program finances.
• Use BCM tools, data and automation (SharePoint, planning platforms, workflow tools) while maintaining data quality.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Risk Management or a related field.
• 7-10+ years of experience in Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery, Risk Management, Operational Resilience or a closely related field.
• Proven track record leading complex cross-functional or global programs across regions, sites and functions.
• Fluent English, suitable for a global, cross-functional environment.
• Preferred: CBCP, MBCI, ISO 22301 Lead Implementer or Lead Auditor certifications.

Required skills

• Strong understanding of Business Impact Analysis, continuity planning, recovery strategies, crisis management and resilience frameworks, ideally ISO 22301.
• Experience with SharePoint and Salesforce, and interest in workflow and automation tools.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills, with calm decision-making under pressure.
