Audit Director Operations & Change

About the role

Swiss Re is seeking an Audit Director for Operations & Change to lead independent assurance across Operations, HR, Legal & Compliance, and transformation projects. You will shape risk culture, provide strategic audit insights, and support the Board of Directors.

Key responsibilities

• Assess and prioritize risks in Operations, HR, Legal & Compliance, and transformation initiatives.
• Define assurance priorities and ensure comprehensive audit coverage.
• Lead audit teams, maintaining critical independence while aligning with business risk perspectives.
• Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders, raise issues proactively, and deliver impactful audit opinions.
• Act as a sparring partner to management, supporting risk mitigation and providing forward‑looking recommendations.
• Champion a strong control environment and communicate insights to the audit committee.

Required profile

• 12+ years of experience in internal audit or related fields.
• Deep understanding of business operations, regulatory developments, and corporate strategy.
• Proven people‑leadership skills with the ability to develop and motivate audit teams.
• Strong stakeholder‑management and communication abilities.
• High integrity, resilience, and a commitment to good governance.
