Area Sales Manager - Neuro / Oncology / Hematology

About the role

The Area Sales Manager will lead, coach and develop a high‑performing field sales team in Bratislava, delivering patient impact and meeting commercial objectives for neuro, oncology and hematology brands.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver sales targets, market share and profitability using data, analytics and market insights.
• Lead, coach and develop Sales Representatives, fostering a performance‑driven culture.
• Execute structured field coaching, joint customer visits and document activities.
• Drive adoption of new commercialization models, omnichannel and customer‑centric engagement strategies.
• Build strong relationships with key customers and cross‑functional stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with Novartis policies, ethical standards and financial governance.

Required profile

• University degree in life sciences, medical, business or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of pharmaceutical or healthcare sales experience.
• Proven first‑line people management and coaching experience.
• Track record of achieving sales targets and managing competitive brands or product launches.
• Strong analytical and strategic mindset with ability to interpret KPIs and market insights.
• Fluent in English and the local language.
