Zero Trust Network Operations Engineer

About the role

Join Johnson Controls' Global Network Security Operations team as a Zero Trust Network Operations Engineer. You will be responsible for the day‑to‑day operation, monitoring, and lifecycle management of enterprise‑wide network security infrastructure supporting thousands of sites and users.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and maintain firewalls, remote‑access, cloud security services, proxies, and NAC solutions across on‑prem and cloud environments.
• Perform daily health checks, monitoring, and troubleshooting to ensure high availability and performance.
• Respond to security incidents, conduct triage, containment, and recovery in coordination with SOC, network, cloud, and application teams.
• Implement firewall rules, policy changes, VPN updates, and configuration changes following ITIL change‑management processes.
• Manage security asset inventory, track lifecycle status, contracts, and coordinate upgrades or decommissioning.
• Liaise with vendors and managed service providers to resolve incidents and support operational tasks.
• Identify automation opportunities for repetitive tasks such as rule provisioning, monitoring, and reporting.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience supporting enterprise network security environments.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to evolving security technologies.
• Experience with on‑prem and cloud security platforms (firewalls, VPNs, proxies, NAC).
• Familiarity with formal change control processes in production environments.
