Supplier Quality Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to join our Supplier Quality department. In this position you will ensure that our suppliers meet the highest quality standards and support continuous improvement across the supply chain.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct supplier assessments, audits and releases, and manage Advanced Quality Planning (APQP) with suppliers.
• Handle complaint management processes with suppliers during development phases or when customer issues arise.
• Develop and continuously improve supplier management processes.
• Track and follow up on supplier corrective actions.
• Reduce supplier failures in the field, at customer sites, in manufacturing and during incoming inspection.
• Support the Advanced Quality Engineering department on customer claims.
• Participate in programs according to PSP.
• Manage special releases for non‑conforming supplied goods in collaboration with Plant Quality.
• Organise supplier actions on location and evaluate supplier performance.

Required profile

• Quality Auditor certified to VDA 6.3 and/or IATF 16949.
• Strong knowledge of supplier quality processes and quality tools such as 8D problem solving, APQP and FMEA.
• Good understanding of quality systems and AIAG/VDA standards.
• Familiarity with supplier manufacturing processes including electronic manufacturing (PCBA, PCB) and plastic injection molding.
• Fluent in written and spoken English; additional German or French is a plus.
