Senior Project Associate – Labour Migration

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a Senior Project Associate to support the implementation of projects that strengthen institutional capacities in labour migration and mobility. Working under the Chief of Mission in Slovakia and the National Legal Officer, you will contribute to capacity‑building, research, and technical assistance for government bodies, employers and other stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver capacity‑building activities on labour migration.
• Conduct research and compile policy and legal information related to labour mobility.
• Provide technical assistance to government institutions, employers and relevant partners.
• Collaborate with team members and external partners to ensure project objectives are met.
• Support reporting and documentation of project outcomes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, International Relations, Development Studies, Migration Studies, Human Rights, Law or a related field, with at least four years of relevant experience, or a high school diploma with six years of experience.
• Proven experience liaising with governmental authorities, UN agencies, NGOs and other international institutions.
• Experience working with migrants, refugees, IDPs, trafficking victims or other vulnerable groups.
