Senior AWS Cloud DevOps Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a seasoned Senior AWS Cloud DevOps Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and optimisation of our cloud infrastructure. You will work on a high‑impact project for a global financial market infrastructure provider, ensuring that cloud environments are secure, scalable and cost‑effective.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and automate CI/CD pipelines for multiple applications.
• Migrate existing workloads to AWS while optimising performance and cost.
• Build and manage secure, high‑performing AWS environments for internal and external customers.
• Drive Infrastructure‑as‑Code (IaC) improvements using Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Provide CI/CD and IaC support to development teams.
• Implement cloud monitoring, set performance alerts and optimise resource usage.
• Oversee end‑to‑end release processes to ensure smooth deployments.
• Identify automation opportunities and contribute to architectural decisions.

Required profile

• 5+ years of hands‑on experience with production‑grade AWS services.
• Strong background in CI/CD, IaC and container orchestration (Kubernetes/EKS).
• Proven ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams.
• Excellent communication skills in English (minimum B2).

• AWS services: EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, ECS, EKS, VPC, CloudFormation, IAM, Route 53, Direct Connect, Load Balancer, API Gateway, Security Groups.
• Infrastructure‑as‑Code: Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
• CI/CD tools: GitHub Actions, Jenkins, AWS CodePipeline.
• Container orchestration: Kubernetes/EKS.
• Monitoring: CloudWatch, Datadog, Prometheus.
• Scripting: Python, Bash/Shell.
• Cloud cost management and optimisation.
