Security Monitoring Operator – Entry Level Cybersecurity

Join a global 24/7 Managed Detection and Response (MDR) centre as a Security Monitoring Operator. This position is designed for candidates eager to start a career in cybersecurity, working with cutting‑edge monitoring tools to protect client environments.

Key responsibilities

• Operate shift‑based monitoring in a 24/7 MDR centre under senior guidance.
• Use EDR, XDR, SIEM and SOAR platforms to detect, investigate and mitigate threats.
• Document adversary activity, create incident reports and escalate when needed.
• Analyze client data to uncover security risks and vulnerabilities.
• Participate in threat hunting, intelligence gathering and proactive security measures.
• Develop and fine‑tune low‑level detection rules for EDR, XDR and SIEM solutions.
• Contribute to the improvement of MDR toolsets, incident‑response playbooks and reporting processes.

Required profile

• Background in IT security or related studies (certifications optional).
• Interest in continuous learning within the cybersecurity field.
• Willingness to work 24/7 shift schedules.
• Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail.
• Upper‑intermediate English proficiency (B2).

Required skills

• Familiarity with security monitoring platforms (e.g., Splunk, QRadar, Elasticsearch, ArcSight).
• Basic scripting knowledge (PowerShell, Python, JavaScript, Bash, Lua).
• Understanding of Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Fundamental networking concepts (IP addressing, ports, protocols, MAC addresses).
